Raymond Revival

Exterior of Raymond Revival by 402 Customs

Raymond Revival

When our client began searching for a forever home, he initially approached 402 Customs to build from the ground up. Then he found a distressed farmhouse just outside of Raymond, Nebraska—full of potential, history, and the perfect rural setting. Rather than start over, he chose to breathe new life into a home worth saving.

The Raymond Revival transformed the heart of the home through a complete reimagining of the main floor. Non-structural walls were removed to create an open, connected living space while preserving the home’s original character. The existing fireplace was carefully retained as a focal point, tying the home’s history into its modern design.

The kitchen was completely gutted and reconfigured with a new layout, custom cabinetry extending to the ceiling, quartz countertops, updated electrical and plumbing, and luxury finishes designed for everyday living and entertaining.

The primary bathroom received an equally dramatic transformation, replacing an outdated tub with a spacious tiled shower, custom dual vanity, quartz countertops, premium fixtures, and thoughtful storage that delivers both function and comfort.

Beyond the kitchen and bath, the renovation extended throughout the main level. Paneling was removed, walls were opened, new luxury vinyl plank flooring was installed, interior trim and doors were replaced, closets were redesigned for improved organization, and the home’s electrical, plumbing, lighting, and finishes were updated from top to bottom.

The result is a home that honors its farmhouse roots while providing the openness, craftsmanship, and everyday luxury our client envisioned. As Lincoln’s only Design. Build. Sell. ecosystem, 402 Customs can guide clients through every step of the journey—from finding a home with untapped potential to designing and building a renovation tailored to their lifestyle, and ultimately helping them maximize its value. Raymond Revival is a perfect example of how thoughtful design can preserve the past while building for the future.

Sometimes the best custom home isn’t built from the ground up—it’s rediscovered, reimagined, and crafted for the next generation.
